There is a shortage of primary school teachers in Crimea
There is a shortage of primary school teachers in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. This was reported on the air of the Russian-controlled Radio Crimea by the “director of the Crimean Spring Lyceum” Natalya Goncharova, who in 2012–2014 was the Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and after the Russian occupation of Crimea, in 2014–2019, was the “Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Crimea”.
According to Goncharova, over the past 5 years the number of first-graders has reached 24 thousand people annually, so primary school teachers in the region have become in greatest demand.
A significant shortage of personnel concerns primary schools, since the expansion of its network has covered the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Also in second place in terms of teacher shortage are mathematics and computer science teachers.
